Autumn Wolff’s latest novel with a really long name I refuse to shorten

Hey! I got it done before Trans Day of Visibility!

Back in January, one of my personal favorite romance authors, Autumn Wolff, hosted a Kickstarter to fund the physical release of her first novel of 2026, Is it Wrong to Fall in Love with a Reclusive Wizard in a Sky Palace (she’s since managed to also put out two novellas I still need to read and and start a new serial I refuse to be normal about!)

The Ebook was finished and released to backers on February 16th so I’m only like… a month and a half behind, oops. Thank goodness, like everything of Autumn’s I’ve read, it’s great!

But, I do have a few critiques of the Howl’s moving Castle inspired work, plus a little… let’s call it a tangent about philosophical alchemy, rebis, misunderstood visual metaphors, hell, black sulfur, homunculi, and Castlevania. (I swear it’s related, but more to the 1986 novel, Howl’s Moving Castle by Dianne Wynne Jones, rather than the movie, or Autumn’s book, it’s just a personal bug bear of mine)

Suffice it to say, if you’re here for sweet trans lesbian romance, ready to surprise you with moments of spice, action, and comedy where you least expect them, give it a shot.
