Muttday #26 || The Epstein Class (Plus some NOT shitt news)

Well, I can’t say last week was bizarre because I’m covering the last two weeks!

Admittedly I’m doing so because I was breaking down while trying to get last week’s show done, but that’s just splitting hairs, so let’s go over the last two weeks of news.

We’ve got the Epstein class, made up of those in the files like Ex Activision CEO Bobby Kotick and Dictator in chief Donald Trump, but we also have the folks doing their damndest to prevent any of those folks from facing the remotest consequences like Attorney General Pam Bondi (who said at a Congressional Judiciary cheating on her mishandling of the files release and investigation, “I’m shocked you want to talk about Epstein”) and DHS head Kristi Noem.

We’ve also got more horror stories out of the Dilley Texas children and families concentration camp run by CoreCivic, more of Elon Musk’s assorted techno-fascist weirdness in his rocketry/ai company and in his car company, Brainworm bobby’s pet FDA head killing vaccines against the recommendation of the vaccine board, and yet another study which showed trans women have zero advantages over cis women in sports which will be ignored so that our epistemicide might be continued.

But it’s not all bad news, there’s some gaming and Olympics news in here… crap those are on the IOC effectively banning trans women, selling a nazi propaganda t-shirt, and defacing the Haitian uniforms, while the gaming news is on 2xko and Highguard’s layoffs after their games have been out for less than 3 weeks.

Uh, but it isn’t all bad news really! There’s at least one dinosaur convention standing up to the epstein class, there’s a great kickstarter run by Soft Not Weak for a solo Journaling TTRPG based on their match-3 game, Spirit Swap, and last but certainly not least, I’m finishing with my first impressions of Relooted, the new heist game by Nyamakop!
