Muttday #25 Mild Tonal Dissonance

I know, I know, every week I say something about how weird this one was. But this time… I guess it just felt surreally absurd, a tonal mixed bag?

Like, the Epstein file drops kind of dominated the news, but there was all this subtle quiet evil.
Kansas passing a trans bounty hunting bill to spite a new legislature, Abi Spanberg, the Measles outbreak in the Dilley Texas Concentration camp, Minnesotan legal observers being arrested then released into bellow zero temperatures with no phones or wallets, trump literally crapping himself live on tv and suddenly closing the Kennedy center (he’s totally going to bulldoze it isn’t he?)

But there was some decent news too. Like Taylor Rehmet, a democrat, winning a runoff election against a Trump endorsee, Leigh Wambsganss, for the Texas Senate seat for the 9th District by 14%. Notably, a district Trump won in 2024 by 17%, that’s a 30% shift in a DEEP red district.

We’ve also got a rant on Epstein and the “pedocon” theory I so utterly loathe (plus a certain special someone might have shown up in the files, I wonder who?

There’s not much medical or science news this week, but there was some powerfully foolish ai and electric vehicle news this week. From the faked “AI Social network” moltbot, it’s connections to a crypto grift, and it being a spin off of an agentic bot which itself has gone through two name changes in under 48 hours after a legal threat, going from Clawdbot, to moltbot, to Open Claw.

Or Tesla discontinuing its luxury car models, X and S, as their better selling “economy” models, 3 and Y, face greater competition from Chinese electric vehicles like the BYD Seagull and Dolphin. All to focus on its farcical Optimus robots, which still need a human operator…

But don’t worry, there’s also culture news like amazing Anti-ICE art in LA and two more in Minnesota, an upcoming kickstarter for a cute looking Dating sim, Dating and Dragons, and then I go all judge brain on the final EX11 card, Vortexdramon.
